An anything but quiet girl born in Springburn Scotland, near Glasgow in 1962 to Scottish parents, our family immigrated to The United States shortly after Kennedy was assassinated. Although a U.S. Navy Veteran, I didn’t become a citizen until much later, when I wanted to vote for Bill Clinton and voice a change for healthcare reform.

I was active as an advocate for abused and neglected children in the foster care system for almost ten years. My first and only true love is stories, the writing, reading and telling.  The good ones never start with … Once upon a time.

While each  blog stands alone as a full story, reading them as a part of a bigger whole may just be an entirely different tale. I recommend you start at the beginning, a retirement mobile home community in Tampa, without internet or laptop, helping my mother-in-law as she lay dying.

A word to anyone who likes these, please tell a friend.
